In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom with Gary Bauer, senior vice president of public policy at the James Dobson Family Institute reflects on the story of former Bremerton High School assistant coach Joe Kennedy whose name made national news in 2015 when he was fired for praying on the field after football games. Kennedy stood tall, fighting his way all the way to the Supreme Court. The court ruled that his religious freedoms had indeed been violated. The school district was forced to pay fines and backpay, and was required to rehire him for his former role. The big takeaway, says Bauer, is that one brave individual hero won back religious liberty for us all. For this, there is reason for every Christian in America to celebrate and understand that you have more power than you know.
