Some Good News — Really!

In 1956, Congress voted unanimously to make "In God We Trust" our national motto. Sadly, over the years since then, God has been kicked out of our classrooms with predictable results. But maybe the tide is turning. Texas children are likely to see the motto in their schools this year. A law passed in 2021 by the Texas legislature, supported and signed by Governor Greg Abbott, is the reason.

The New Black Robed Regiment – Part 2

In the days leading up to the Revolutionary War, Christian pastors often led the cry for liberty. They were in fact the boldest and most respected men in their communities. When the fighting broke out, many of these clergymen led the men of their congregations into battle. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and his guest, Dan Fisher, author of Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment, continue their discussion about the need for spiritual revival. Defending the Religious and Civil Rights of the Defenseless Part 2

Defending the Religious and Civil Rights of the Defenseless Part 1

Despite the fact that the church and Christian values are in the crosshairs of an increasingly godless culture, there is still hope. On today's edition of Family Talk, Brad Dacus (DAY-kus), president of Pacific Justice Institute, reminds us that the previous administration's judicial appointments provide a balance of power. Specifically, the Supreme Court is demonstrably in favor of life, parental rights, and religious liberty. As a non-profit legal defense organization, Pacific Justice Institute has 20 offices in 16 states, and represents Christians free of charge whenever their God-given rights are infringed upon.

Rediscovering God in America

Despite the fact that the United States was founded upon Christian values and principles, in recent decades the secular culture has tried relentlessly to drive God out of public life. On today's edition of Family Talk, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich discusses his book, Rediscovering God in America. From the Latin inscription, "Praise be to God" atop the Washington Monument, to the engraving on the Lincoln Memorial referencing that we are "one nation under God," Gingrich reminds us of our nation's rich Christian heritage.

Liz Wheeler: The State of Our Fractured Nation

On today's edition of Family Talk, political commentator, news personality, and podcast host, Liz Wheeler, firmly declares that what we are facing today in our culture is a blatant attempt to delegitimize our nation. Citing the 1619 Project, Critical Race Theory and the transgender movement, Wheeler believes there is an outright agenda to destroy institutions that have defined our nation since its origin. Despite the declining state of our country, after having listened to the oral arguments at the Supreme Court about the Mississippi case concerning the ban on abortions after 15 weeks gestation, Wheeler believes we are finally on the cusp of Roe v. Wade being overturned and living in a post-Roe America.

The Faith of Mike Pompeo

On today's edition of Family Talk, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a devout Christian and a man whose life has been defined by public service, shares the story of his conversion to Christ as a young cadet at West Point. Not surprisingly, Pompeo became a champion of religious liberty and, during his time at the State Department, he even helped to create the Unalienable Rights Commission concerning international human rights matters. In this exclusive one-on-one interview with Dr. Tim Clinton, Mike recalls that one of the highlights from his time as Secretary of State was negotiating the release of three Christians from North Korea in 2018. Secretary Pompeo reveals his distaste for the secular line of thinking that predominates today's politics. Despite that reality, he is confident that we can once again restore the vision that America is a "light on a hill."
