Messenger International: Revolutionizing Global Discipleship

After attending a Youth for Christ Bible study, Ralph Drollinger, a high school basketball player, became a follower of Jesus Christ. For the next four years, NBA teams offered contracts to the seven-foot-two-inch tall athlete. Instead of taking the big money, Ralph joined Athletes in Action and played with the best amateur basketball teams across the globe, even sharing the gospel at halftime. That passion for evangelism has continued in Ralph’s life. On today’s edition of Family Talk, he and his wife, Danielle, share their hearts for those who are lost and have not yet encountered Jesus. Together, the Drollingers founded Capitol Ministries, a non-profit organization with a mission to minister to political leaders with God’s Word.

Proverbs 27:17 declares, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” That’s why all Christian men need to resist the temptation to isolate, and should find a trustworthy accountability partner. Swanberg points to the biblical examples of Paul and Luke as well as Silas and Timothy. When men confess their sins in transparency to God and to one another, they can be healed.

No wonder 75% say they have no sense of purpose and over half struggle with depression. They also become equipped to stand up for and defend truth , with a capital "T" , in College and beyond. When Dr. Dobson's son, Ryan, attended as a teen in 1987, it changed his life.

On today's edition of Family Talk, Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University, claims the reason is simple. These young people who are that vital next generation, grew up seeing the sonogram pictures of their baby brothers and sisters taped to the refrigerator door before they ever met them. Therefore, this new generation of pro-lifers rejects the lie that babies in the womb are just a clump of cells that you can get rid of without any remorse or guilt.

Together they examine the Pitts' book, She is Yours, which encourages moms and dads to breathe a sigh of relief because God is in control of their Daughters' lives. Abba is the one Who protects them, and He is the one Who will guide their future.
