On today’s 4th of July edition of Family Talk, Gary Bauer concludes his stirring discussion with Bob McEwen, executive director of the Council for National Policy, about what makes America great. We must wake up to the warning signs as our society begins to crumble around us, and recognize the consequences that occur when a nation forsakes God. Listen as Bob recounts America’s proud history recanted in the lyrics of The Star-Spangled Banner.
1 Corinthians 3:17 says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” Today on Family Talk, as we prepare to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the United States of America, we will hear from Gary Bauer and Bob McEwen, executive director of the Council for National Policy. Bob reminds us that July 4, 1776, marks that momentous occasion in which America became the symbol for freedom around the globe. We must not fail to teach our children that our nation was founded on the truth and principles of the Bible or we’ll run the risk of losing the liberties that we hold so dear.
On this 4th of July, all of us at the Dr. James Dobson Family Institute hope you enjoy your time with family and friends, celebrating our nation’s independence. We live in a unique country that has seen its share of ups and downs. The resiliency of the American people has always helped us through difficult days when it was hard to keep hope alive. It’s important to rejoice in our freedom and always remember Who gives us all of our blessings. Please enjoy this short video that commemorates the guiding principles that define America.
