Honoring Elizabeth: The Never Alone Project – Part 1

Steve Reiter was madly in love with his wife, Elizabeth. After getting married in 2001, they had two sons. Years later, she was diagnosed with lupus and pulmonary hypertension, which led to her hospitalization in 2020. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Steve shares that because it happened at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, he was not allowed in the room to see his wife. Tragically, Elizabeth died alone, prompting Steve to create The Never Alone Project. Because patients thrive when a loved one is present, he advocates that at least one person be allowed to stay with a loved one at all times.

On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson continues his conversation with Dr. Bill Peel and Dr. Walt Larimore, about their book, Workplace Grace, which focuses on equipping Christians to evangelize at work. Dr. Peel notes that when it comes to showing signs of your faith in the workplace, you can raise a faith flag in just 30 seconds by offering to pray for a troubled colleague, and Dr. Larimore stresses that workplace grace is “going to work intentionally, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and leaving the results to God.”

As supreme chaplain of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop William E. Lori of Bridgeport, Conn., has the responsibility of overseeing the spiritual welfare of the Order's 1.8 million members and their families.

A native of Louisville, Ky., Bishop Lori obtained a bachelor's degree from the Seminary of Saint Pius X in Erlanger, Ky, in 1973, and a master's degree from Mount Saint Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md., in 1977. In 1982, Bishop Lori received his doctorate in Sacred Theology (S.T.D.) from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Bishop Lori was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Washington by Cardinal William Baum on May 14, 1977, in St. Matthew Cathedral in Washington, D.C. In 1995, Bishop Lori was ordained to the episcopate as auxiliary bishop of Washington and titular bishop of Bulla, an ancient suffragan see in modern-day Tunisia.

The church has failed young people by defining purity too narrowly as the avoidance of sex. Truth be known, God is not pleased with any premarital intimate acts, nor the consumption of porn.
