"You can see the wrinkles in your skin, or the fat around your belly, and you can do something when you're unhappy with it. nobody loves their brain because you can't see it." Those are the words of renowned psychiatrist and neuroscientist Dr. Daniel Amen.

He warns that if you don't have a SPECT brain scan, eat healthy, and limit alcohol, you might be among the 50% percent of the US population who are diagnosed with dementia in their twilight years. Dr. Amen also warns that those with mental health challenges should have their actual brain examined through SPECT testing before a doctor might prescribe a drug which could hurt more than it helps.
