Postmodernism recognizes no heroes and builds no statues. That was my thought while in London recently for the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) conference. After the event concluded, I took a few hours to do what scores of American tourists do: I visited the Tower Bridge, ate scones with clotted cream and jam, and walked for miles, marveling at London’s classical beauty.
The rapper known as Ye (formerly Kanye West) has made a career of controversy. Recently, Ye chose the Super Bowl for his latest stunt: He released a commercial in select markets that included a link to his website. When people visited the site, they found that he was selling t-shirts with a Nazi swastika emblazoned on them.
After many decades of the “war on children,” we are seeing a shift in outlook unfolding in our country. Let us continue to pray and work toward this end. In an age when many continue to push ideas and policies that wreak havoc on kids, let us stand between such destructive theories and our children. Even as God the Father guards us from all danger through His Son and Spirit (John 10:28), let us protect our precious little ones.
With over 400,000 employees and a market cap exceeding $60 billion, Target is a force unto itself. In past days, it used this money and influence to fund a noxious anti-truth agenda. But now, the company that made a big show of backing “Pride Month” is changing its policies. Christians should give thanks to God for this shift.
