In this week’s episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom with Gary Bauer, senior vice president of public policy at the James Dobson Family Institute, shares breaking news on the Massachusetts couple, Mike and Kitty Burke, who were denied a foster care license due to their “religious beliefs about marriage, sexuality, and gender.” The Burke’s are ardent Catholics. “After months of interviews and training, and after years of heartbreak, we were on the verge of finally becoming parents. “We were absolutely devastated to learn that Massachusetts would rather children sleep in the hallways of hospitals than let us welcome children in need into our home, said Mike and Kitty Burke. Bauer says, thankfully the Burke’s aren’t going to simply step aside without a fight, as they are now suing the Commonwealth under the Free Exercise Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
