City Serve: Mobilizing the Church to Transform Communities – Part 1

Theologian A.W. Tozer once said, “A scared world needs a fearless church.” When Russia attacked Ukraine in February 2022, fear was rampant. Five million refugees escaped into nearby countries, while another seven million Ukrainians were displaced. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dave Donaldson and Wendell Vinson, the CEO and President of CityServe International, respectively, proclaim what Satan meant for great harm, God is using for His glory. Over the last few months, CityServe has equipped 1,800 Ukrainian churches and another 1,000 churches in neighboring countries with food and supplies. The Case for Miracles: From Skeptic to Evangelist – Part 1

Lee Strobel was once a narcissistic drunk, desperately lacking as a father to his kids and as a model husband to his wife, Leslie. Ironically, after she became a believer, Lee came to know the Lord after he tried to disprove the Resurrection for over two years. The avalanche of evidence pointing to our salvation was irrefutable. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and his good friend, renowned apologist and scholar Lee Strobel discuss his faith walk and the role of apologetics in evangelism. They also highlight the parallel of famous atheists of history – Nietzsche (KNEE-chee), Freud (FROYD), Voltaire, and O’Haire – who were either fatherless or had bad relationships with their fathers.

The New Black Robed Regiment – Part 1

On today’s Independence Day edition of Family Talk, author Dan Fisher describes the 18th century black-robed pastors who courageously led their men onto the battlefield against the British during the Revolutionary War. Our pulpits desperately need biblical conviction once again to rally a new “black-robed regiment” of clergymen to arm Americans with the Word to uphold the Judeo-Christian principles on which this country was based.

There are 350,000 churches in America. But are there even 40,000 pastors who fear God and are willing to speak the truth? Dr. Jim Garlow, author of This Precarious Moment, does not believe there are. That's why he asserts that God has raised up laymen such as psychologist, Dr. James Dobson, football coach and founder of Promise Keepers, Bill McCartney, and public servants such as Dr. Ben Carson, to say what pastors should have been saying all along.

A Challenge to Pastors – Part 1

Too often, pastors hesitate to preach against abortion and the radical homosexual agenda. The Bible speaks clearly on both issues, so why the hesitation? Dr. Jim Garlow, former pastor of Skyline Church in San Diego, asserts that pastors run into the pitfall of wanting to be loved by everyone in their pews. But as he points out, "If you're going to preach the truth, you cannot be liked by everybody in your congregation."

Satan used the COVID virus in an attempt to shut down every church, making God's people fearful. That's the contention of Sean Feucht, author of Brazen: Be a Voice, Not an Echo.
