In this week's episode of Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom with Gary Bauer, senior vice president of public policy at the James Dobson Family Institute, Bauer discusses the alarming trend toward antisemitism in American cities and prestigious Ivy League schools with special guest and Middle East policy expert, Tom Rose. The two define these recent pro-Hamas, anti-Israel/anti-American protests as "a grotesque orgy of antisemitism," the likes of which have never been seen in America before. Rose, speaking from Israel, describes how recent statements from President Joe Biden, where he equated the fight against antisemitism with the war against Hamas, were received by Israelis. Rose says people in Israel found the President's remarks to be utterly dumbfounding and incredibly disappointing.
Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, has found another profit center. Not content with making money only by destroying innocent life in the womb, the organization has aggressively expanded into the growing "gender transition" industry, which also threatens the well-being of children.
The Biden administration hopes the abortion issue will lead to his re-election in November. Women voters may want to think twice, however. Late last Friday, the administration declared war on women by distorting and destroying Title IX, a landmark 1972 law that bans sex discrimination in any school that receives federal funding. Title IX guarantees equal treatment for women in every aspect of education from the classroom to sports. Feminists hailed its passage 52 years ago, but the law may have a fatal omission that the Biden administration just drove a truckload of "wokeness" through: It didn't define what a woman is.
As we have repeatedly warned, there is a deliberate effort to intimidate, shame, smear, and even threaten conservative Christians out of the political and public policy arena. It is understandable that the radical, secular Left would want to do that. But it is outrageous that some so-called "progressive Christians" are lending their support to this effort.
We thank God that the April 13th missile and drone attack on Israel, by the Islamic Republic of Iran, failed. Many of the 300 missiles and drones were destroyed by Israel's Iron Dome defense system or by U.S. and Israeli jets. But the failure of the attack does not erase its significance. For the first time, Iran has launched an attack directly from its own territory on Israel, instead of using its proxies, including Hamas and Hezbollah.
In this week's episode, Gary Bauer discusses Iran's recent drone and missile attacks on Israel and the Biden administration's alarming response. Rather than supporting Israel in what should be a strategic military strike in retaliation for this unprecedented Iranian act of war, President Biden and his Department of State warned Israel that the U.S. would not support any Israeli military action against Iran.
Kudos to a bipartisan group of U.S. senators who have introduced Senate Resolution 569 to reiterate that religious freedom is a core human right and should be a top priority of U.S. foreign policy.
Everything about the transgender ideology is anti-science as well as being anti-God. The Lord created mankind to be men and women. Science confirms that genetically there are two genders—male and female. A man cannot "become" a woman, nor can a woman "become" a man by radical, deforming surgery or administering powerful, dangerous drugs.
