He Is Risen! What that Means for You

Dear Friends, This month we bring Dr. Dobson’s thoughts to you about Easter and why God chose such a seemingly strange and extreme plan to save humanity. As we prepare our hearts to remember Christ’s life, death, and resurrection, may you find new inspiration in this account of the timeless story drawn from the prayerful reflections of our dear founder. From Dr. Dobson’s Pen Easter is not primarily a secular observance designed to usher in the warmth of spring. Nor is it simply a day for children to hide eggs and overindulge in eating chocolate bunnies. Despite modern culture’s attempts to reinvent this day of celebration, Easter is, at its heart, the Christian commemoration of Christ’s death, and, three days later, His emergence from the tomb, and all of the freedom and victory that those events entail. The resurrection is the historical marker that lies at the center of everything we believe, and within it is found the promise of eternal life for believers in Jesus Christ. This good news provides the only satisfactory explanation for why we’re here and where we’re going. The final heartbeat for the Christian is not the mysterious conclusion to a meaningless existence. It is, rather, ...

How Christian Women Can Change the Culture

In his book, Bringing Up Girls, Dr. James Dobson shares an amazing quote by John Adams, the second president of the United States. Adams wrote, “The manners of women are the most infallible barometer to ascertain the degree of morality and virtue in a nation.” After studying history and observing different societies, Adams concluded that when women no longer prioritize modesty and domestic virtue, nations eventually lost their public spirit and even their forms of government. That is a strong statement, but Adams understood something important: The character of women shapes the character of a culture. Today, many people believe that cultural change is the result of politics, media, or education. These areas do matter. But Scripture points to a deeper truth. Real change begins in the heart, then moves into the home, and spreads throughout the community. When women walk closely with the Lord and live out their faith in daily life, they create a ripple effect that reaches far beyond their front doors. In my recent blog, Hope for Your Marriage When Your Partner Is Distant, I talked about the power of quiet faithfulness. When a husband pulls away emotionally, his wife’s first instinct may be to argue harder, demand change, or withdraw in hurt. Yet 1 ...

America & Iran – The Roots of War

Gary shares the facts the media won’t. The conflict with Iran did not begin on February 28, 2026; it started with the Iranian Revolution in 1979. Iran’s Shiite leaders believe that Allah wants them to kill all “infidels.” They must never have access to nuclear weapons.

A Wife’s Superpower

Does your marriage sometimes feel like a tug-of-war? You want to be heard. You want to be valued. You want your husband to understand you. But instead of closeness, you feel tension. Instead of warmth, there is distance. And when you read passages in Scripture that instruct wives to “submit” or “respect,” something inside you tightens. It feels unfair, risky, and maybe even impossible. My wife and I once had a couple come to us for help in their marriage. The wife told us that she essentially forced her husband to go along with counseling because she wanted us to “fix him.” He worked hard in construction for a living but never seemed to get ahead. When he came home from work, he just wanted to relax by playing video games. The more we talked with this couple, the more we saw that this situation wasn’t one-sided, as she insisted. She constantly yelled at him, told him he was worthless, and argued with him about everything. She rarely had a positive remark to say to him. When we brought up the biblical principles of submission and respect, she wouldn’t have anything to do with either one. As far as she ...

Kneel or Else! Faith Under Fire

One of the Left’s many big lies comes most often from the LGBTQ lobby. They claim that all they want to do is live and let live. “Let us be who we are.” These were powerful arguments during the debate over changing the 3,000-year-old definition of marriage from the union of a man and a woman to the joining of two people of the same sex. But we have discovered over and over again that as soon as the LGBTQ movement gets power, the live-and-let-live attitude toward Christians goes out the window, replaced by an iron fist that demands we sacrifice the teachings of our faith. And it isn’t only homosexual issues. Don’t forget, President Obama tried to force Catholic nuns—nuns!—to subsidize abortions. His attack on religious liberty was eventually overruled by the Supreme Court. Joe Biden tried, too. Biden’s Department of Education threatened every school district in the country that if they did not allow boys into girls’ bathrooms, he would cut off their school lunch programs for poor students. Unbelievable! By the way, most of the media ignored this outrage. There are hundreds of examples like this, and JDFI has been in many of these battles. Here is ...

The Culture War

Two significant events in recent days have highlighted the stark contrast in values dividing America today. Many observers refer to this battle of values as “the culture war.” First, let’s consider the Super Bowl halftime show. The Super Bowl is an iconic American sporting event. Millions of people from all backgrounds love football. The NFL had an excellent opportunity to bring Americans together with a halftime show that celebrated our shared values, especially this year as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Instead, the NFL’s woke leadership chose to divide the country by selecting Bad Bunny—a cross-dressing, Puerto Rican rapper—as the main performer for the halftime show. If you’re not familiar with Bad Bunny, don’t worry; that’s a good thing. His songs are full of explicit sexual content and vile lyrics. Unfortunately, he has a large following, particularly among young Hispanics. Days before the Super Bowl, Bad Bunny was on Saturday Night Live. Many Americans were insulted when he told us we needed to learn Spanish to understand his halftime performance. America is a multilingual society, but English is our national unifying language. Next, he appeared at the Grammys and denounced the enforcement of US immigration laws. In fact, he actually ...
